AI features do not make medical diagnoses, provide therapy, or replace professional mental health care.

- AI providers receive only anonymized, contextual information necessary for the specific feature
- AI providers are contractually prohibited from using our data to train their models

Mental Health Safety Measures
Given that some of our apps are used alongside therapy and mental health treatment, we have additional safeguards:
- AI-generated content is reviewed for potential harm before being displayed to users
- The system will never encourage users to skip or replace professional therapy
- Crisis detection: if content suggests a user may be in crisis, the app will provide crisis resources (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) rather than an AI response
- AI features will never push users to engage with difficult memories or emotions without the user initiating
Your Controls
You have full control over AI features in our apps:
- Disable AI: Turn off all AI-powered features in app settings
- Review AI interactions: See what data was used in AI-powered features
- Delete AI data: Request deletion of any data associated with AI interactions
- Feedback: Report any AI output that seems inappropriate or harmful
Limitations
AI is a tool, and it has limitations. We want to be upfront about them:
- AI-generated suggestions may not always be appropriate for your specific situation
- AI cannot understand the full context of your personal experiences
- AI features should be used as a complement to, not a replacement for, professional guidance
- We continuously work to improve AI safety, but no system is perfect
